Cu invaziile barbarilor Sfântul Imperiu Roman de Naţiune Germană are o tradiţie bimilenară. Numai Germania aşteaptă anul acesta 800.000 de afro-asiatici din aşa zise state eşuate - failed state -, părăsite de administraţia coloniala creştin-europeană în urmă cu jumătate de secol. De atunci ele sunt incapabile să menţină un minim de condiţii civilizate populaţiei preponderent musulame şi idolatrice, care se refugiază acum, trecând prin Balcani sau cu ambarcaţiuni Mediterana, în UE.

Pe scurt: dacă ne-aţi părăsit şi nu ne mai faceţi accesibilă civilizaţia şi la noi, venim peste voi.

Uniunea Europeană nu-i Imperiu, n-are Constituţie, iar deficitul de democraţie a celor 28 de state suverane paralizează luarea de decizii majore, aşa că putem vorbi şi de un failed imperium, failed sacerdotium. Dacă Imperiul depinde de Papă şi Impărat, vedem

că ultimul lipseşte, iar Papa Benedict XVI s-a retras, sufocat de relativism, de primatul economiei, de laicizarea chiar şi a clerului şi a unor pseudo- ceremonii sacre. Dacă destinul final al lumii, escatologia universală se diluează, dispare, atunci nu metafizica, ci economia are ultimul cuvânt şi sensul vieţii se degradează.

Să ne reamintim că democraţia a apărut ca urmare a departajării sferei sacrului de profan în Sfântul Imperiu, a luptei dintre Papă şi Împărat, şi a revoluţiei papale din sec. 11-13. De aceea, nu-i de mirare, şi după filosoful Giorgio Agamben, că o degradare a bisericii papale atrage după sine şi pervertirea democraţiei, a întregii vieţi social-economice. Capitalismul devine peste noapte religie, iar dreptatea divină este înlocuită fără menajamente de liberalism, cu economia de piaţă şi competiţie.

În statul secularizat al iluminiştilor, la departajarea politicii de religie, locul credinţei l-a luat, după eşecul marxism-leninismului, neoliberalismul. Judecata şi dreptatea divină nu mai joacă niciun rol în statul modern de azi, cu consecinţe deprimante şi riscuri. Scriitorul Michel Houellebecqs descrie, în romanul său de mare succes „Supunerea lipsei de perspective", pustiul spiritual contemporan din Franţa. Europa, în care fiecare persoană este forţată să lupte şi nu mai are nici posibilitatea, puterea de a se împotrivi competiţiei pentru un loc cât de cât privilegiat într-o economie de piaţă motivată exclusiv de lăcomie şi setea de bani. Homo homini lupus est bellum omnium contra omnes.

Dacă este deja insuportabil că nu se mai poate vorbi de Europa decât de deficit de democraţie, austeritate, economie, euro, va reuşi invazia afro-asiatică să readucă în actualitate valorile culturale, spirituale, creştin-europene, la care aspiră nou- veniţii, şi, pe această cale, să se depăşească fundamentul eminamente economic, secularizat, al neoliberalismului?
